Mission month

Throughout Mission Month, we will celebrate and learn more about the ministry of our mission partners and the ways God is at work both in Australia and around the world.

This month, Dr Yane Damanik, Principal of Nungalinya College, will share from Genesis 16, "The God Who Sees". Dr Damanik will also give us an insight into the important work of Nungalinya College as it equips and trains Indigenous Christian leaders for ministry and service across Australia.

We will also hear from Anna Jacobs, who serves in ministry with tertiary students in New Zealand. Anna will share about her work supporting and discipling young adults as they explore faith, grow in Christ, and engage with the opportunities and challenges of university life.

Join us throughout Mission Month as we hear stories of God's faithfulness, learn more about the ministries we support, and consider how we can partner in God's mission through prayer, encouragement, and generosity.

Generosity in Action - Mike Phillips | 2 Corinthians 8:1-9 & 2 Corinthians 9:6-9
‍In this final sermon of our Generosity series, Mike Phillips explores what generosity looks like in practice. Drawing on 2 Corinthians 8–9, we see early Christians giving joyfully, sacrificially, and beyond expectation - even in hardship.
Rather than asking “how little can I give?”, Scripture reframes the question:
How generous can I be?
This message encourages us to move from understanding generosity to living it - giving intentionally, joyfully, and in ways that reflect God’s own grace.
You’ll be encouraged to:
- Give intentionally and in proportion to what you have
- Discover the joy of cheerful, willing generosity
- Consider where to give - to those in need, to God’s people, and to gospel ministry
- Trust that God provides abundantly so we can be generous
Because of the gospel - Jesus, who became poor so that we might become rich - our giving becomes an expression of gratitude, trust, and partnership in God’s work.
