Going Deeper with God: Prayer - Luke Prentice | Psalm 89

In this final sermon of our Going Deeper with God series, Luke Prentice explores Psalm 89 and what it teaches us about prayer. Far from being a formula or a set of special words, prayer is an honest and ongoing relationship with God.

Psalm 89 moves from praise and celebration to disappointment, confusion, and lament. Through it, we see that God invites us to bring our whole selves to Him—not just our gratitude and joy, but also our questions, frustrations, and struggles.

This message invites us to ask:

What does it look like to stay connected to God when life doesn't make sense?

You'll be encouraged to:

  • Discover the rich variety of ways God's people can pray

  • Bring your honest thoughts and feelings before God

  • Understand that prayer is our response to God's Word

  • Stay connected to God through both joy and hardship

Prayer is not about finding the perfect words. It's about bringing our lives to a faithful God who invites us to know Him more deeply.
