Generosity in Action - Mike Phillips | 2 Corinthians 8:1-9 & 2 Corinthians 9:6-9

‍In this final sermon of our Generosity series, Mike Phillips explores what generosity looks like in practice. Drawing on 2 Corinthians 8–9, we see early Christians giving joyfully, sacrificially, and beyond expectation - even in hardship.

Rather than asking “how little can I give?”, Scripture reframes the question:
How generous can I be?

This message encourages us to move from understanding generosity to living it - giving intentionally, joyfully, and in ways that reflect God’s own grace.

You’ll be encouraged to:

  • Give intentionally and in proportion to what you have

  • Discover the joy of cheerful, willing generosity

  • Consider where to give - to those in need, to God’s people, and to gospel ministry

  • Trust that God provides abundantly so we can be generous

Because of the gospel - Jesus, who became poor so that we might become rich - our giving becomes an expression of gratitude, trust, and partnership in God’s work.
